Newborn Baby Care After Birth At Home India: Care for a nascent by parents or parental relatives is known as parental care. Parental care is one of the most important behaviors of every organism. Human is not an exception.
As the number of offspring is less in humans, hence its parental care is also greater than others. Though looking after a newborn baby is tough for new parents, so we will try to give some tips for newly become parents or would-be parents.
Tips and Guidelines for Newborn Baby and Mother Care at Home:-
Feeding:-
As the newborn baby can not express their basic needs, so it is very difficult to understand for inexperienced parents want. Feeding every 2 to 3 hours is required for a newborn baby.
Breast milk is the best source of vitamins, nutrients, and minerals, hence don’t replace breast milk with other branded formulated milk available on the market. In case of not producing breast milk in sufficient quantity, then the only doctor’s recommended formulated milk can be taken.
Holding:-
Holding a newborn baby is a confusing task for parents who enjoy their parenthood for the first time. Sometimes they become very afraid. Don’t panic about it. Baby’s skin is very smooth and sensitive, so don’t hold them roughly.
Always give extra care when you’re holding your baby. The muscle of the neck of a baby takes 5 to 7 months to develop, so concentrate on it and be soft with your baby.
Caring Umbilical Cord Stump:-
The umbilical cord is a connectional cord that connects the baby with its mother during pregnancy. After delivery, it is cut and thus stumps are present in the belly button.
After the birth, a 2 to 4 hours bath with lukewarm water is required. The naval area should keep dry and clean.
Monitoring the Pee and Poop:-
You should observe the color of pee because changing the color of pee may indicate the symptoms of various diseases like jaundice, which can be easily curable if diagnosed at an early stage.
Yellow color pee also indicates consuming water in less quantity. On the other side, changing the color of poop is also a point of concern. Red, Black, white, or gray color poop indicates serious health issues. You should not delay in that case, contact a doctor as soon as possible.

Wiping:-
It is really a big deal for new parents. Always use a clean, sterilized, cotton cloth or cotton ball and dip it into lukewarm water and then remove the excess water and then wipe softly.
You can mix any antiseptic liquid in the water. You can also use baby wipes. You should wipe your baby from front to backside. You should always use separate wipes or cloths for cleaning intimate areas. Using a single wipe can spread bacteria.
Changing the Diaper:-
Maximum parents think a diaper can be used until it becomes wet, but this is not the ultimate truth. You should change a diaper after 4 to 5 hours because it releases a toxic chemical that is dangerous for a baby.
Sleeping:-
Sleeping patterns may differ from baby to baby, so don’t worry to see the sleeping duration of another baby. Sleeping patterns become changed as they grow up. The maximum time of a day is their sleeping time.
After a few months, you should practice baby a particular time for sleeping according to your normal time because the sleeping cycle is very important as it depends on the biological clock. Once the biological clock becomes affected, then the sleeping cycle will also be affected very much.
Cutting Nails:-
You should cut your baby’s nails routinely because they grow so fast, and they can cut or scratch or harm their own skin. It is very difficult to cut a baby’s nails when they are awaking, so cut their nails carefully when they are in sleeping condition. Always use a tiny nail cutter for trimming their nails.

Oil Massage:-
Oil massage is very good for all, but it is essential for newborn babies. Massaging oil can help a baby in fast-growing and muscle development. There are a lot of branded products available in the market, but not used randomly.

Always try to use such oil which is pure. According to Ayurveda, sesame oil is the best for massaging the body. Extra virgin coconut oil, mustard oil, and almonds are also good options. Oil massage at least 3 days a week is good for the baby’s growth.
Taking Sun Bath:-
Taking sunbath is a must-try activity for parents but nowadays, they don’t want to expose children to the sun as they want to prevent their baby from sunburn, but It is a big mistake made by most parents.
Sunlight is the only source of vitamin D which is very important for strong bones. Several diseases may occur due to vitamin D deficiency.
