The Monkey’s Revenge: Once upon a time, there was a popular city named Surya-Nagar which was ruled by a king. The king was very unkind and rude in behavior.

The name of the king was Chandra. He was very much fascinated to keeping different types of pets in his palace, so he also kept some monkeys in his Palace as pets.

In the palace of the Chandra, the monkeys were treated royally. The workers of the palace provided them with different types of delicious food according to the choice of the monkeys.

So the monkeys become very happy, so they live their life very happily. Though they did not get enough independence in the palace of the King as they got in when they were living in the jungle, but they can adjust to it easily as they got a variety of royal foods.

On the other hand, as they did not work much but got enough food on time, so they did not jump from one tree to another, so they became very healthy, and their bodies became bulky.

There was a chief of those monkeys who was very much intelligent and had a lot of knowledge. The name of the chief of the monkeys was Subuddhi. He can observe anybody very well, and he also followed the philosophy of different kinds of great human beings, whose philosophies can enhance our intelligence very easily.

So, He was very much aware of the behavior of the people and always tried to advise. To his fellow members not to trust anybody blindly and not to consume such a lavish life as they live now. But nobody can understand his philosophy and always wanted to live happily and enjoy that lavish life.

On the other side, the king had a son who was also very rude as his father. The prince had two rams, who generally carry the goods, which were used by the prince.  One day, the rams feel very hungry and did not find any type of food near them.

So, they entered the kitchen of the palace and started to eat everything that was kept in the kitchen. To see that incident, the cook of the kitchen become very angry, and they tried to hit the ram with the different types of kitchen tools.

Which they found near them at that time. They tried to hit them with the frying pan and clay pot.

Chief of the monkey, Subuddhi, noticed everything. That type of behavior made Subuddhi very sad. He thought if they threw something which is related to fire, then what will happen?

He did not say anything to anybody because he thought the rams were close to the prince so, he will take any action. Unfortunately, the prince did not take any action against the cook.

So Subuddhi became very upset and felt that this place is not safe anymore for them and as he is the chief of his friend and their family so, it is his duty to be aware from them.

Then the chief of the monkey told the other members that it was not the right place for them as they can be seen. How they behave with that ram, so they can do that type of rude behavior any day with them also.

So it will be the right decision for them to leave the palace and return to their place, which is the jungle. He also tried to understand if the cook threw anything related to fire then what will happen, but the other monkeys did not want to understand the advice of the chief of the monkey.

They thought as their chief become old, so maybe his brain did not work properly and hence he thought always thought type of meaningless incidents throughout the day.

As the chief of the monkey noticed that nobody obeyed his advice, so he decided to leave the palace alone and go to his place, which is the forest.

After some days, the same incident repeated. The cook organized different types of delicious food which was served to the king, but suddenly the ram entered the kitchen and eat some food that was already organized.

The cook of the kitchen became very much angry, and he could not find anything to the rams so, he took half brunt log and through it to the ram. As the body of the ram was covered by wool, so fire caught and sprayed instantly.

The rams could not tolerate the pain, so ran away and reached into the field. There were dry grasses for the horses. Thus, the fire spread from the body of the ram to the dry grass, and thus the horses become also wound by the fire.

Some workers were working in the field. They spread some water, thus the fire came into control, but the horses were very much suffering due to the burning.

As the horses were very much close to the prince, he became very angry and became worried too for the horses. So he quickly called their veterinary surgeon to treat the horses properly and appoint two nurses to take care of them.

The surgeon saw everything and advised the prince to apply monkey’s fat on the burning wounds of the horses as this will help the horses to recover fast.

After listening to the words of the surgeon, the king ordered his workers to kill monkeys every day one by one and apply their fat to the wound place of the horse. Thus, all the monkeys become dead.

When the news of the death of the all monkeys came to the ear of the chief of the monkey, they became very sad and thought how foolish they wear as they did not listen to his words.

Subuddhi could not forget them. He neither consumes any food nor takes water. He became very much depressed for his family and he promised himself that he will take revenge anyhow.

One day the Subuddhi felt very thirsty, so he came near a very beautiful lake, and it was full of beautiful lotus. He decided to drink the water from that lake, but suddenly he observed that there present a lot of footprints of different animals and men too towards the lake. But there was no footprint that coming from the lake so, he thought there was something abnormal in that lake. So, he collected a hollow stem of a lotus and used it as straw and drink the water of the lake without touching the water.

When he was drinking water with the help of the hollow stem. Then a monster appeared from the lake and the monster told to monkey. That he was the monster and lived in that lake for many years. And also told that he eat everybody who enter the lake, but he became very much impressed to see the intelligence of the monkey.

He also told that he did not see anybody as wise as him, so, he wanted to gift anything that he wanted. Then the monkey replied that if he gave his necklace to him, then he will arrange a lot of people for his food.

The Monster happily agreed with the condition of the monkey. So he gave him the necklace and as soon as the monkey got the necklace he wore it on his neck and started jumping from one tree to another to reach the palace of the king.

Then he entered the court of the king. When everybody saw him wearing a necklace, everybody became very curious and wanted to know where he got the beautiful necklace.

Then the monkey told the king that he found a hidden treasure that was secretly kept in the lake of the forest. There were different kinds of jewelry money and coins of silver and gold. That necklace is nothing to that amount of property.

Then the king said to the monkey, “can you give me the location where the treasure is present in the forest.” The monkey replied to the king, “yes, king, I will be glad to help you.”

Then the king told that all his family members wanted to take part in that strange incident. The monkey told to the king. “Yes, it will his pleasure to out that hidden treasure.”

So, they decided to start their journey the next morning. The monkey led the whole team and the king, the minister, the queen, the prince, and the princess followed the monkey.

At last, when they reached the location where the lake was situated. They become very much fascinated by seeing the glamour of the lotus present in the lake.

Then the monkey told them that they had to enter the lakes at the same time, only the king will wait for some time. So everybody happily agreed with the words of the monkey.

Everybody listened to the advice of the monkey and entered the lake. As soon as they entered the lake, they become disappeared but after some time when they did not come from the lake then the king asked the monkey,

“What they are doing for this long time in the lake”.

Then the monkey jumped onto the top branch of a tree and told the king that a monster lived in that lake, maybe he had already eaten all the members of the King at one time.

Now he became to take revenge on you as you killed my whole family. I only forgive you as I wanted you should realize how painful to live in an empty house without all the family members and your close ones.

Then the king started crying, and he had no other way. So, he returned to his palace and felt lonely and did not find anybody close to them. The chief of the monkey was able to take an act of revenge.
