The loyal Mongoose: Once upon a time, there was a beautiful village in Bengal where lived a married couple. The main profession of the young person was farming, as the soil of that village was so fertile.

They were very busy throughout the day for farming purposes. They lived in a small hut with their newborn baby.

Furthermore, they were poor but honest, had self-respect, and always try to love others. So for these positive thoughts, they were very happy and live their life so enthusiastically and positively.

One day the farmer was going to his land for planting some seeds when he was going to the destination he suddenly found a small mongoose. His wife was also present with him at that time. The farmer observed that the mongoose is very weak, and it got hurt.

The mongoose was yellowish gray and very cute. To see the Mongoose, the farmer could not control his emotion and he wanted to take the mongoose to his home, but his wife disagreed with his opinion.

Then the farmer tried to understand his wife the situation with the little mongoose, and he also told her that if he will take the mongoose into their home. Then their baby will get a partner for playing games. Thus, he did not feel alone when they will be busy on the land for farming purposes.

The farmer also feels pain for the little mongoose as he observed the tears in the corner of his eyes of the little mongoose.

The wife of the farmer had no interest to take the mongoose into their home, as he thought that taking any animal into their home and keeping them as a pet was not beneficial for them. Instead of benefit, it may be harmful to their infant too, but she is obliged to listen to his husband’s order.

So, they decided to adopt the mongoose as their pet, though the wife of the farmer was unhappy she has no other way at all. So the farmer take the mongoose into their home and kept him as their pet.

The farmer always loves the mangoes and the newborn baby also loves the little mongoose very much. The farmer takes care of the mongoose every day, and he also tendered the wound place of the mongoose, give water and sufficient food timely, and also give milk every day.

The farmer didn’t differentiate between his son and the mongoose. Toes the mongoose became very strong and healthy also to get such proper nursing from his owner.

Gradually, a strong friendship developed between the little infants and the little mangoes. When the farmer couple did not present at their home and was busy with their harvesting work in the field, then the little infant and the Mongoose played together. Everything becomes alright.

One day, the wife of the farmer was busy on the land. But the farmer was present in that house, but suddenly the landlord of the farmer came to his house and wanted his money. Which was borrowed by him from the landlord sometime back.

The farmer had that amount of money that he borrowed from his landlord due to harvesting purposes. As he was able to harvest a lot of grains in that season and get benefited from the sale that grains.

So, he happily agreed to give that amount to his landlord. and he told the people of the landlord that he will give that amount tomorrow to his landlord. But this they told that it was very urgent. So you had to give this amount urgently.

So, the farmer started his journey with that people to the house of their landlord. And he had a lot of belief in the mongoose that he will take care of his little infant. So, he took the mongoose to his sleeping infants and went out to the house of his landlord.

In the meantime, the mongoose found a large snake around the infants of the farmer. The mongoose could not understand what to do and how he can save the life of the son of his owner.

Naturally, the mongoose can consume the snake easily. But as the mongoose was very little, and the side snake was very large.

So it was a little difficult to consume the snake for that mongoose. But the little mongoose thought that he had no other way to save him. So he must be killed to the snake, even at the risk of his own life.

According to his thought, he did his job perfectly. After a war of one hour, the mongoose was able to kill the snake and can protect his owner’s son from that dangerous snake.

On another hand, the wife of the farmer thought it became a long time since the farmer did not come and join to her. So a stick play on her mind and she thought there must happen something wrong in his house.

So he decided to leave the field work and come to her home, but when she came into her home she found that everything was not so normal.

Suddenly, she found the mongoose on the porch of his house. But he noticed the blood in the mouth of the mongoose and also noticed that the mongoose stop his movement.

To observe that kind of behavior of the mongoose, she feels scared for her son and thought that the mongoose killed his son and consumed him as his food.

In an angry state, she couldn’t control his anger, she became mad at that moment for mourning her son’s death. So she took a stick and started hit the Mongoose and killing him, and then she started crying.

Then she entered her room and found that everything was normal. Suddenly she noticed that her son was sleeping in the bed and also noticed that a snake was lying off on the floor of their room in tattered condition.

She also found the body of the snake in three pieces and understood that the snake was very poisonous.

Then everything became clear to her. So she broke down into heavy crying and could not understand how she had done this. The mongoose saves his son’s life and instead of giving him thanks she killed him, but she had no other way to save the life of the loyal mongoose.

In the meantime, the farmer came into his home to see everything, and he became speechless and started crying. It was a great loss for him, as he loved the mongoose as his baby.
