The Musical Donkey: Once upon a time, there was a village where lived a washer man named, Kanai. Kanai had a donkey. The donkey carried the bag of the washer man in the daytime in the presence of sunlight.

He ate grasses while he became free. One day while the donkey carried the bag of washer man then he noticed a farm of rice and vegetable where the farmer farming variety of vegetables and fruits.

The donkey thought in his mind to see the farm. If he also can eat some green leafy vegetables then it will be a pleasure for him and his taste bud became free from eating one type of food as he eats grasses daily.

There was no way to consume any vegetables. Thus, the donkey became sad.

One day the donkey wanders here and there and suddenly he meets a jackal. Then they started their conversation with each other and gradually become a very good friend. Then the donkey told the jackal to meet with him at night at a rendezvous.

The jackal also agreed with his proposal and committed him to meet with him at night. So from the next day, they started to meet with each other at night and at dawn time they back to their home.

Gradually, the friendship between the donkey and the jackal became strong.  The donkey was larger and also older than the Jackal, hence the Jackal told him about the uncle.

One day the Jackal told the donkey that he found a field which is full of ripe juicy cucumber which must be very tasty. The Jackal wanted to eat the cucumber of that field with the donkey.

The donkey agreed with the proposal of the jackal as he became bored eating only grass every day. So the next day they started their journey towards the field of ripe cucumber at night, and it was a feast for them.

The donkey started to eat the cucumber full. They became very happy. They were so busy wandering at the farm and eating the fresh juicy cucumber for the whole night, and suddenly they observed that the dawn is coming.

So, they started their journey towards their home, and they made a plan to come again there from the next day. According to their plan, they also come the next day to eat the cucumber.

The same incident went on for many days. One day they were so busy eating the cucumber and the donkey told the Jackal that he is very happy that day as he ate a lot of very juicy cucumbers.

Suddenly, the donkey look at the sky and noticed the full moon. The donkey became highly fascinated to see the full moon, and told the Jackal that he wanted to sing a song in his beautiful voice. And he could not control himself from singing a song to see the beautiful scenario of the moon and the sky.

The Jackal was very clever and intelligent too. He can understand the after-effects of the activity of the donkey. So he advised the donkey,

“My dear uncle, this farm is not us. We are stilling cucumbers from this farm for long days. So, obviously, the owner of the farmers to looking for us for a long time. If they can catch us, then they will want to kill us, for obvious reasons. If you started to sing a song, then they must hear your voice and will wake up. Then they will kill us.”

But the donkey did not want to understand the advice of the jackal and want to sing a song again. The Jackal again advised him not to sing. But the donkey became angry, and he told him that a wild animal like him. Did not understand the value of the music.

He also can’t appreciate the music. He will show the jackal how to sing a piece of real music and what it sounds like.

The jackal understood that the donkey was determined to sing and if he started singing then there is no other way to protect them from the hit of the farmers or the owner of the farm.

So, the Jackal made a plan he told the donkey he knows that the voice of the donkey is very sweet. He also wants to listen to her voice, there is one condition.

Which is he going to the outside of the farm, he can easily notice the activity of the farmers, and he can keep an eye on them. Then I will inform you by a gesture.

The donkey agreed with his plan, the Jackal wanted to leave that place immediately. The Jackal started to run away and tried to hide as soon as possible.

As soon as the donkey started to sing a song in a loud voice, the farmers woke up, and they were very much excited to catch the animals. Who eat their cucumbers for a long time as it was a full moon night the farmers can the farm, and they noticed the donkey.

The farmers started chasing the donkey and on the other side, the donkey was busy singing in his top voice and did not notice that the farmers chased him with sticks and stones. Thus, the farmers easily caught the donkey and hit him, and he became wounded also. Then the farmers left the place.

On another side, Jackal noticed everything, and when he sees that the farmers went away when he arrived at the donkey, and he laughed at him. Then the Jackal says to the donkey, “it was a very nice song uncle Ji.” then the donkey could understand his mistake and feel sorry for not listening to the word of his friend and insulting him.

On the next morning, the donkey returned to the house of his owner to see his health condition. The washer man became angry and drive away the donkey as he knew that the wounded donkey could not carry his bag. Then the donkey realized the effect of not listening to the advice of his good friend.
